Dr. Kizzmekia Corbett, a University of Maryland Eastern Shore alumna, led the NIH team that developed the mRNA technology behind the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. Her HBCU foundation gave her the tools — and the confidence — to change the world.
Today, Dr. Corbett serves as an Assistant Professor at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and continues to inspire a generation of HBCU scientists.
